Robertson L. Whiteside (1869-1951) was one of the outstanding preachers among churches of Christ in the first half of the twentieth century. Much of his influence came through his writing as he contributed to the Gospel Advocate, Firm Foundation, and other publications. Near the end of his life when his health had declined and he was confined to his bed at home, he was still continuing his work, writing articles by hand.
Whiteside’s Commentary on Paul’s Letter to the Saints at Rome has been regarded by many brethren as one of the best commentaries ever written on the book.
