Description
J. W. McGarvey (1829-1911) is one of the more well-known figures of the Restoration Movement. More than just a preacher, he was a renowned Bible scholar. He served as professor and President of the College of the Bible in Lexington, Kentucky, and editor of The Apostolic Times. His commentaries on Acts and other books of the Bible are still used among brethren today.

Before this, McGarvey taught a course on Sacred History at the College of the Bible for fifteen years, which served as the foundation for this work. This volume contains a wealth of information on the places of the Bible that is meticulously detailed and thoroughly researched. Even though it was written in the nineteenth century, Lands of the Bible is a timeless work that will be a valuable reference to all Bible students, providing them with a fascinating look into the places of Scripture and enabling them to gain a deeper appreciation for the inspired word of God.
