Description
In nearly seventy years of full-time gospel preaching, Tom M. Roberts has addressed various challenging topics that went beyond the fundamental principles of the gospel (the “milk” of the word) and required a deeper study of the Scriptures (the “meat” of the word). Addressing such topics is the task of all gospel preachers in fulfilling their responsibility to declare the whole counsel of God (Acts 20:27); unfortunately, too many avoid these difficult and sometimes controversial topics. Brother Roberts has certainly not been one to do this.
The content of this book, as well as the name (Solid Food), was taken from a series of articles written by brother Roberts in Watchman Magazine from 1998 to 1999. In these articles, he delved into some difficult and/or controversial passages and topics in order to help growing Christians understand the “meat” of the word. This collection is a timeless resource that will help brethren of this generation and beyond to develop an understanding of the truth on the topics addressed.
