Description
A. W. Dicus (1888-1978) is best remembered for the hymn, Our God, He Is Alive, which boldly declared the existence and work of our Creator in a world of growing skepticism. It has become an anthem for generations of Christians after him, reminding us of God’s work from creation to redemption. Besides being a hymn-writer, he was also a preacher, educator, and scientist.
In addition to writing Our God, He Is Alive, Lord I Believe, and other hymns, he also wrote and published sermon outlines, Bible commentaries, and more.
The first volume contains over 120 sermon and topical outlines as well as more than 30 Bible drills. Whether someone is learning the truth or teaching it to others, this material is a handy reference that can be utilized by anyone.
This second volume contains his commentary on Romans, a brief commentary on the book of Hebrews, as well as his work on church leadership. All Bible students will profit from the knowledge, wisdom, and insights expressed in this material.
These books include a foreword with a biographical sketch of A. W. Dicus, written by his grandson, John H. Dicus.
